Matthias Hupe is a partner in the area of Dispute Resolution and Litigation, in particular in Commercial and Corporate Law, with a further focus on Restructuring and Renewable Energies.

He represents national and international companies in all areas of Civil and Civil Procedure Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, both out of court and before German courts and arbitration tribunals.

The focus of his work lies in the management and conceptualization of complex out-of-court and in-court disputes, including commercial and corporate law, also in cross-border matters. Matthias Hupe also has extensive experience in corporate restructuring. A further focus of his practice is providing legal advice in the field of renewable energy. In particular, he advises companies and investors in all phases of the development and marketing of renewable energy projects with regard to admissibility under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), planning, tendering for renewable energy plants, construction, operation and the purchase and sale of plants.

• Representation of the German subsidiary of a Chinese manufacturer of photovoltaic modules in-and out-of-court
• Representation in-and out-of-court in disputes between several companies and in shareholder disputes
• Ongoing advice to an established provider of complete solutions in the field of renewable energy and operator of renewable energy plants in Germany and Italy
• Extensive advice on the development and marketing of renewable energy projects and the structural development of several new solar parks
• Acquisition of several solar parks and projects by an established project developer
